The Picasso museum in Paris has been under renovation for the last two years. A gem of a museum (and my favorite in Paris) sits in the Marais and houses more than 3,000 masterpieces. The project has had many delays and recently the head of the museum has come under criticism. After reading about this in the NY Times yesterday, it got me thinking about renovating classics. How to keep the purity and integrity of what is original and keeping it fresh and current? Humble me is certainly not putting La LOOP in the Picasso category :)) although I do see our work every season as renovating a classic. Over the last two months we have presented our new collections to buyers in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Las Vegas and Tokyo -- and I am still on a high from the conversations and meaningful connections we have with customers all over the world.
Here's to the Picasso museum reopening soon. I miss it!
