LOOPin: Celebrating the DOERS Making a Difference
At LA LOOP, we believe that real change starts small — with individuals who show up, give back, and lead with heart. That’s the spirit behind LOOPin, our social impact initiative that uplifts the causes closest to our community’s heart.
Each year, the LOOPin Grant Program honors that commitment by awarding grants to nonprofits nominated by YOU — our incredible LOOPERS — to help fuel their vital work. These aren’t just organizations doing good in the world. They’re deeply personal to the LOOPERS who champion them: people who volunteer, advocate, and invest their time and energy to make an impact.
We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the 2024 5th Annual LOOPin Grant Program — four remarkable organizations that embody compassion, creativity, and community.
💜 The Pink Journey
Nominated by LOOPER & volunteer Stephanie Landon
The Pink Journey is on a mission to ensure that every woman has access to essential breast cancer education. Their work empowers women with the knowledge and tools to take control of their health, potentially saving lives through early detection and awareness. Stephanie’s dedication to this cause shines, and we’re proud to support an organization doing such critical work.
💜 The Healthy Room Project
Nominated by LOOPER & volunteer Janet Crown
The Healthy Room Project believes that every child deserves a space where they feel safe, valued, and inspired. By partnering with police officers to transform the bedrooms of at-risk youth, they’re creating emotional sanctuaries that foster hope and healing. With a focus on Dallas and Northern California, this project is a powerful reminder of how environment shapes opportunity — and how community partnerships can drive real change.
💜 Friends of Sonoma County Animal Shelter
Nominated by LOOPER Juanita Kopriva
This dedicated nonprofit works to improve the quality of life for animals in shelters and support outreach programs that connect animals with loving homes. Thanks to Juanita’s nomination, we’re proud to support an organization that advocates for our furry companions and ensures that even the most vulnerable animals receive care, compassion, and a second chance.
💜 Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV)
Nominated by LOOPER Gwyn Lurie
Since 1992, WEV has empowered women entrepreneurs in Santa Barbara and Ventura County, providing them with the tools, funding, and mentorship to launch and grow their businesses. With economic independence comes freedom, confidence, and community impact — and WEV has been paving that path for thousands of women over the past three decades.
Why LOOPin Matters
The LOOPin Grant Program exists to empower the DOERS — those who step up, show up, and lift others up. We select grant recipients based on three core pillars:
-
Supporting Nonprofits: We prioritize organizations that LOOPERS are actively involved in. It’s about celebrating the work you already do — and amplifying it.
-
Defining “Looping In”: To us, “looping in” means rolling up your sleeves and engaging deeply with your community. It’s about more than giving — it’s about doing.
-
Program Goals: We aim to:
-
Provide meaningful funding to organizations that need it.
-
Celebrate our LOOPERS’ commitment to service.
-
Inspire others to contribute in big and small ways.
-
To our LOOPERS: thank you.
Thank you for nominating organizations you believe in. Thank you for volunteering your time and energy. And thank you for proving that style and social impact can go hand-in-hand.
This is LOOPin — where fashion meets purpose, and where community leads the way.
