Thank you Kenyon

Thank you Kenyon

Kenyon recently featured my story and the LA LOOP story in their alumni magazine, and I’ve been thinking about how much of this business began long before I knew I was starting one.

After the article came out, I reconnected with the friends I lived with senior year in B1. We found ourselves remembering the late nights talking about everything and nothing, the laughter, the tears, and the sense of closeness that came so naturally then. Those moments reminded me of something I sometimes forget in the rush of running a company: connection is what makes everything meaningful.

Kenyon was the first place where I learned to trust my creative instincts, to pay attention to details, and to see beauty in unexpected places. Those same ideas became the foundation of LA LOOP- thoughtful design, function made elegant, and a belief that the things we wear and carry should support our lives, not complicate them.

Running a business for 26 years has taught me a lot, but the core values haven’t changed much since those early days on campus: be curious, stay open, listen deeply, and build things that last.

So thank you, Kenyon for the feature, for the reflection, and for reminding me where this journey really began.
