Our LA LOOP Story
A Stylish Solution Born in New York City
In 1999, amidst the fast-paced energy of New York City, eyewear was a constant casualty—left behind in taxis, forgotten at restaurants, misplaced in gyms and subway stations. After losing one too many pairs of expensive frames, Elizabeth Faraut knew there had to be a better way.
With a background in fashion and luxury at Le Figaro, Guerlain, and Guess, she saw an opportunity: to create a practical yet beautifully designed accessory that would keep glasses secure without sacrificing style.
The Innovation: Where Fashion Meets Function
That vision became LA LOOP—a sleek, sophisticated necklace featuring a patented swivel-hinge design that holds glasses securely while moving naturally with the wearer.
“LA LOOP blends the clean, elegant lines of a necklace with a simple yet ingeniously designed loop to hold glasses,” Elizabeth explains. “It’s the accessory people don’t leave home without.”
It wasn’t long before LA LOOP caught the attention of tastemakers and trendsetters. Featured in The New Yorker, The New York Observer, and The New York Times, and even earning a nod from a Vogue fashion editor, the brand quickly built a devoted following among creatives and professionals who appreciated its blend of form and function.
A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Community
More than two decades and thousands of LA LOOPs later, the company now calls Southern California home. Elizabeth continues to lead with innovation, introducing new designs each season—each crafted from premium materials using artisanal techniques.
But LA LOOP is more than just an accessory. It’s a community. Through LOOP IN, the brand’s philanthropic initiative, LA LOOP gives back—supporting causes that align with its values of craftsmanship, connection, and purpose.
Because at LA LOOP, we believe in seeing the world differently.
